Hyatt TS stays for ELITE qualification?

Hi all,

Has anyone heard any rambling about Hyatt considering TS stays for their GP Elite qualification in terms of stay or nights like Sheraton and Marriott does?

I had looked into purchasing another Hyatt week but did not get the numbers to work. if TS stays would have counted towards ELITE qualification, it would have tipped the balance since I has Hyatt Diamond for something like 9 years 2002-2010 and it was sweet. Hyatt Platinum is so much of a non-tier. Sheraton midtier is better.

I don't think it's likely. Hyatt has really devalued their loyality pogram. As a result they got trounced at the Freddie awards and they don't seem to care. Still crappy promo after crappy promo. Lots of discussion on this topic on the Flyer Talk boards. Also, it appears Hyatt has lost interest in the timeshare business. Therefore, I don't see Hyatt doing this.

yeah they are run separately and the promos have gotton pretty ordinary.. My first FFN was back in 2002 and they were great! It is no more. I think the sale have impacted a bit.
