If I purchase a Hyatt timeshare, fixed week deeded on Redweek am I able to trade in that week to use at other Hyatt resorts, similar to how MVC works.
Thanks

A better comparision would be to Hilton Grand Vacations Club. Your deeded week is assigned a certain number of points that can be used to make club bookings to other Hyatt properties. It doesn't work anything like deeded resale Marriott Vacation Club weeks. Resale MVC weeks don't get points associated with them and trust points are pure points.

If you own a MVC enrolled week, then it will work similar to that.

There are a lot of rules and complexities around Hyatt Vacation Club. Lots of four letter initialisms with Hyatt. You need to read through many of the past forum posts and any available stickies.

Here is a good summary.

Hyatt deeded weeks are a great program if you want to stay in the other Hyatt deeded resorts. They are limited but in great locations. Trading through Interval is also pretty good, but I personally think the interval trade fees take away a lot of the attraction.

Here is a great thread.

Actually, a deeded HRC week is like a cross between an HGVC week and a deeded Marriott week. I think it was the best system out there but never grew to have many locations, and now they are moving inventory into HPP.

You can buy a specific unit in a great location (say Key West in a unit in the front building overlooking the ocean). You have an exclusive right to use that exact week in that exact unit (like a deeded Marriott week, except you are guaranteed a specific unit/view). Or you can just use the points like HGVC (which is what most do).

The number of points needed for a reservation varies by unit size and season.

For HRC inventory, you can book 7 nights, 3 nights weekend, 4 nights midweek or 2 nights midweek. The week is divided that way, and it controls the checkin days. Saturday alway is more expensive and included in the 3 night weekend regardless of Fri, Sat or Sun checkins. The 3 night weekend is essentially double the points of a 4 night midweek (it varies by season). For example, for a Sat checkin the 3 night weekend is Sat-Mon and the 4 night midweek is Tue-Fri. The 2 night midweek is either Tue-Wed or Th-Fri.

At 6 months out you will see HPP (the points boondoggle) inventory and that is more flexible that the HRC week setup. Saturday is again more expensive but skewed - they treat Su-Fr as approx half of the total points and Saturday the same amount as Su-FR. So this is a sweet spot. The amount of HPP inventory is not great but is good in some places.

Sunset Harbor in Key West and the Maui property are hard to get into, but you can use waitlist for HRC inventory.

The wait list for Hyatt properties if you're a Hyatt owner is 18 months. We have pretty much been able to get into everything we wanted due to the 18 month window.
