The naturalist at Hyatt Regency is a friend of a friend, and the new penguins are on display at the Hyatt in the main lobby.

The penguins that have been in the lobby for years never had babies, so they are hoping to get some love interests going between the new penguins and the current bunch.

It's been a joy for us to take our grandkids to see the birds at Hyatt Regency with the naturalist. She let the kids feed all of the birds. It's such a beautiful lobby and grounds.

Thanks for the update. We enjoy watching the penguins when we are there too.

Sounds like a great plan. I remember seeing them many years ago. Shoot I was just there and didn't think to go into the lobby to check out the birds. Next time!

It's one of the many highlights of every trip for us.

We also enjoy the boardwalk cats. Apparently the population ballooned after the Lahaina fire because many cats found their way to the boardwalk. The volunteer told me that they were able to catch, vaccinate and neuter/spay so the population is now back under control. Sunny and Mango are still on the south property. Mango was sleeping under a lounger and the person sitting above did not know he was there. These are friendly feral so do not mind being petted.

Poor penguins...

Poor penguins...
Why do you say that? These are penguins from tropical/ warm climates.

If you are like me and don't like zoos (or circuses), I understand where you are coming from.

The names of the penguins: Elvis, Phoenix, Kennedy and Kumquat. I don't know who named them. I have a video on my phone of their arrival and release in the enclosure for the penguins, but I don't know how to do that. I will try to figure it out.
