so the rule is Hyatt will not break up holiday weeks. But can I get a reservation for a full week and later at the 60 day mark pay the $49 cancellation fee plus the $35 split week fee and ask them to split the week then? So keeping just the 3 night weekend part of the holiday week and thus freeing up a porting of my points to rebook a midweek stay later in the year based off what is available?
Also if splitting a week what is the price for a second house keeping fee?
Thanks!

OK, I got the answer to my question. All cancellations are a full cancellation for the entire stay and it goes straight to the wait list, so possibly unable to book back into the 3night weekend portion plus since it is a cancellation within 60 days of check in, your left over points would be subject to a 60 day re booking window.
The only way around this would be in the final week before check in the wait list is gone. So you could cancel and rebook just the portion you wanted to keep of your holiday week, then as long as you are still 4 months from your deeded week you can just deposit the remainder points into II for extended stay so you don't have to worry about them being limited to 60 day check in rule. :D
