Hi.

HVC points can accrue one year forward however the accrued points are limited to a 60 day booking window.

For those that have done this, what's been the experience/success rate of using these accrued points?

Thanks.

Depends on when and where. Ski season in Breckenridge or Northstar? Not likely. In May? Possibly.

If you accrue your points, can you exchange into Interval? If you accrue in August, can you exchange them in the current calendar year, December for example or do you need to wait until the accrued year starts?

Accrued HVC points are basically worthless. I have been a Welk owner, now HVC, since 2010. For years, I watched all availability disappear precisely 60 days before arrival date. Want to book a May 1st arrival? Availability will disappear on March 2nd.

We moved up to Platinum Priority IV in 2018, and suddenly the "60 Day Disappeance" vanished. As a Priority IV owner, our accrued points have a 120 day booking window, and we are able to find availability pretty much anytime in that four month period. We concluded that at 60 days prior to arrival, all availability must either transfer to nightly rentals or be limited to Priority owners.

As for depositing accrued points into II, that is allowed. I don't believe that II puts any restrictions on those points. Someone else may know more about that than I do.

Guitarmom - that would be nice to have a 120-day booking window for accrued points, rather than 60-day. How many points do you need to be Platinum Priority 4? And do points purchased resale qualify for Priority 4 or 5? Thanks.

Actually, was able to figure this out w/ the help of TUG. Need 420K pts for Platinum Priority 5 and 720K pts for Platinum Priority 4. BUT points purchased resale don't qualify for Priority.
