HVC - 2026 Club Dues

2026 ASSESSMENT SUMMARY
Now available are the 2026 budget and statement for your
association’s assessment. After careful consideration, we
approved a 2.64% increase in the Point Standard
Assessment fee for 2026. There is no increase to the Base
Standard Assessment, which remains at $230. The Point
Standard Assessment increased to $0.21945 per point.
Thanks to a notable decrease in bad debt, your association
has been able to maintain lower maintenance fees, reflecting
strong financial stewardship.

For owners that have a deeded week in The Club, the 2025 Base Standard Assessment has not changed and remains at $357.00
The Point Standard Assessment increased to $0.0124 per point.
My deeded week in The Club is at The Point at Poipu. I'm not sure if The Club dues are the same for other resorts.
I also have to pay the standard fees for a deeded week at that resort.

The Point Standard Assessment increased to $0.21945 per point....
Please excuse my ignorance, but is the "Point Standard Assessment" something that HVC adds to every collection's base (?!?) MFs or is the number you quoted the MF assessment for one of the five collections (U.S. Collection, Hawaii Collection, California Collection, European Collection, or Cabo Azul Collection)?

So to a HGVC'er ignorant of HVC contemplating buying at The Point at Poipu, this means you pay...

$357.00 HVC Club Dues (which is fixed no matter how many collections which you own?) +
$XXX.00 standard fees for the deeded week +
$0.0124 per point value of that deeded week?

Correct?

For a short while, Sunterra (which became Diamond and then Hilton), was selling deeded weeks that came with Club membership. It was not part of a collection. We pay resort specific fees and also pay Club dues. If I sell the deed, the Club membership is not transferable. I could quit the Club, and still own the deed. I book using points and can book any collection.

Yes, this sounds correct.

When were the collections created? Was this under Sunterra or under Diamond?

I don't think it was too long after we bought our first week in 2004. Diamond Resorts acquired Sunterra in March 2007.

When were the collections created? Was this under Sunterra or under Diamond?
It depends of the Collection.

The Club Sunterra points based system has been created in 1998 based on LSI points based system. Sunterra previously named Signature Resort acquired LSI Holding group (Grand Vacation Club) in 1997. The Grand Vacation Club became the Europe Collection.
Sunterra created:
  • Europe Collection in 1998
  • California Collection in 1998
  • US Collection in 2003
  • Hawaii Collection in 2005

Diamond Resorts acquired Sunterra in 2007 and renamed the Club Sunterra to THE Club.

Diamond Resorts created those collections but they are not necessarily in THE Club:
  • Premier Vacation Collection in 2010 after acquired ILX and its Premier Vacation Club.
  • Monarch Grand Collection in 2012 after acquired Pacific Monarch Resorts and its Monarch Grand Vacation Club.
  • Latin America Collection (Cabo Azul) in 2012 after acquired Pacific Monarch Resorts and its Monarch Grand Vacation Club.
  • Mediterranean Collection in 2012 after acquired Aegean Blue resorts.
  • Florida Club Connection in 2013 after acquired Island One Resorts/Club Navigo.
  • Embarc in 2016 after acquired Club Intrawest (this one I'm sure it's not in THE Club).
