Wow, very nice photos, and nice villas and resort area and amenities. First time I've seen a washer right in the kitchen.

Great photos @jwalk03! Now when I want to remember our trip there this summer I can just look through these pics. Thanks for sharing.

Any one have any questions as we are here now. Wife loves the villas and the feel of living is a quaint old fashioned style village.

So far weather has been beautiful for this time of year. It has rained on us only one evening. Days have been clear blue sky's but a little chilly in the 50's.

Marriott is collecting 8.33€ per day per person. It was raised during the Olympics to help pay for costs related to influx of tourists. Then was supposed to go back down to 2€ a day. But FD agent says they have not lowered it and will be raising it to a little under 9€ a day. Typical government way. Once you raise a tax, there is no way it will be lowered back.

A word of advice, ask for a non smoking unit if you do not smoke. We got one villa that does not have a non-smoking sticker, and there is a faint smell of cigarettes. I thought all MVC units were non-smoking? Noticed while walking around that some villas have a non smoking sticker on door and others do not.

If you do not have a vehicle, it cost us about 70€ to Uber from CDG. Navigo pass for one week at 30€ is a great deal. We use it to visit DL Paris, visit Paris and the Carrefor market 2 stops past marriott. Pretty easy to navigate plus buses/trains run frequently and on time. Find it just as intuitive to use as in Washington DC or New York and a lot cleaner. Have not seen a homeless person on train or bus so far. Have seen homeless in station before turnstiles sleeping.

Groceries are a lot cheaper than Hawaii for sure. I couldn't believe the prices. An example is 1€ for 6 bottles of 1.5L still water. In Hawaii at costco that would have cost me $1.50 a bottle. Fresh just out of oven baguette was 1€ at the local boulangerie in the same shopping center.

Thanks for reading my rant and enjoy your stays here at Marriott Paris. We are definitely coming back. Wife is thinking about a month stay next time. Wondering if anyone has done a long term stay here and has some insights on what to do?

I stayed there too love the French countryside very much. I rented a car and we drove all over. The resort is very nice but I would have preferred it to be a little updated. Which they will start fall of 2025.
Some things I could not do because I was not there long term include :
Strasbourg
Mon St Michel
Loire Valley
tour more Champagne houses like Moet. We Went to veuve cliquot
Giverny
Provins
We spent 2 days enjoying the resort so only had 5 days to go around then we moved onto Paris for 3 days before leaving .

Noticed a little work needed in bathrooms with grout work and shower tiles need replacing. But as mentioned overall condition is fine. I guess the refurbishment cycle is a little longer here than marriots in Hawaii.

We are going to visit Normandie and stay out there for 3 nights. Will be visiting Mont St Michel then. And the other 2 days visiting Normandy landing beaches, cemeteries and going to town of St. Mere Eglise at least.

Thank you for the list of places to visit. Will keep your list for our next visit.

We didn’t want to drive too far whilst staying at the resort, but there are some excellent day trips not too far away most notably Provins, Chateau Vaux le Vicomte and one of the smaller champagne houses.

There is a wonderfully restaurant in town, Au Bon Petit Bailly.
It has great food and is reasonably priced. Run by a funny couple. Walkable or a short drive.

Great info. I have always been dubious about staying there in France. Paris is my second favorite next to Amsterdam.

i think it was just included with the code when that page was first created as many people would upload photos from rci or similar back in the day.

TUG does not take ownership of any photos uploaded if that was where the question was going...vs it being a way to reference where the photo came from if the uploader was so inclined.
