How would you interpret this??

This claims there is availability in Feb 2026 at Westin St. John

Then after you click through, I get this (and I can recreate it as many times as I want to)

Do you think its telling me there is a 2BR available (as that is the only one that has points showing next to the villa size filter)....but that availability is later in the month that is currently outside the booking window..... or do you simply think its a glitch, and there is really no availability in the available booking window, and the system doesn't even look at things outside the booking window.

I have seen this occur at other resorts as well, and am always confused why it says there is availability, then when you click through, there isn't any. It would be good to know if there is future availability coming in the month, if I am quick enough to snatch it when the window opens....but I am not sure if that's what its trying to tell me.

It's a glitch. No availability within your booking window, but, there may be availability outside of your booking window. Good luck!

My guess is that it is because the system is designed to allow you to book at 13 months but you (and everyone else) are only allowed to book the Vistana resort at 12 months. The good news is that it means that there *is* February WSJ availability in the system (either because of week(s) in the Trust or someone elected their enrolled week). The bad news is that you and everyone else will be competing for that availability on the morning the Vistana booking window opens for that date.

It's an IT glitch. I see the same thing periodically at other resorts in Hilton Head, even within 5 months of desired booking. It's frustrating, but...

I have seen it come up sometimes when there is availability at the resort, but someone has it on hold and has not yet completed the booking. If I continually refresh, sometimes the dates do appear, meaning the hold dates were released or the hold expired.

I originally thought that too, but its been that way over many days/hours, so I don't think that is it....at least in this case.

The other odd result I am now getting is where I am searching for more than one property. The initial search will show, for example, 2 of 3 with availability. I'll check availability of the first and then press "Back to Search Results," and then it only shows 1 of 3, with the "1" being the one I just checked. If I search again under same month, again, only 1 of 3. If I search under a new month, and then go back to search under the original month, I'll get the 2 of 3 and be able to check availability on the second one.

I see this routinely. I've always assumed that a unit was available recently but was not at the time and the system simply had not caught up.

I just replicated it again today, so that would be a very slow system refresh.

I've been trying to book the two Marriott's in Aruba, MFC, RCC St Thomas and the Westin. S John since December. I have had this same thing happen at all of these resorts with a seven day search. With a one day search the same thing happens but only about 50% of the time. This year has been extremely difficult in booking the USVI and Aruba. I have to think that Marriott has introduced some sort of filter to cause this to happen. What that would be or why they would do it I have no idea. About a week ago I got a week in March at MFC. After completing the booking I went back and looked to see if I could get another week. Same thing, It said available but the next screen didn't show any dates.
