How do I find out what I can do with for example 200,000 marriott points? What beach locations can I go to for example?

Have you gone to the Marriott website and the Rewards section? Play around there, by making a hypothetical vacation using points and it will tell you what it "costs" in points. The "cost" does vary by season.

Are talking about a timeshare? If so they are very hard to come using MR points at high demand locations like beaches. The amount of points required varies from 50K for three nights in a studio to 150K for seven nights in a 2BR unit.
Here is the link.

If you are looking for hotel stays, there are many, many options. Just go to www.marriott.com and search for a location you would like to visit. Make sure you click the box that states "use Marriott Rewards points." The search will pull up everyting that is available in the area.

For example, I just checked Orlando for Nov. 22-29 2008, and over 39 results were returned, including 5 Marriott timeshares. The points ranged fron 55K to 260K.

Good Luck :D

link to hotels

Here's the link to the various Marriott hotels worldwide and stateside. Best hotels are J W Marriotts and Renaissance Hotels. There are many hotels located on or near beaches.

http://www.marriott.com/hotel-search/marriott-hotels-resorts-and-suites/.

At each hotel's individual web page, you'll see a note saying "more about hotel"....click on it and you'll see the hotel's CATEGORY listed, which will be helpful as to the amt. of points needed. good luck, jme

Well--since you asked--here's my suggestion. It may or may not be humble but it's free.

I'd look to see how I could get 50,000 more points. Need a new credit card? Then you would have enough points for a category 6 travel package which comes with 120,000 miles.

Category 6 gives you several very nice properties to visit. Several beach locations. St. Kitts, Figi. JW Desert Ridge if you switch gears to the desert instead of the beach.

Fly Business Class for added pizazz to the trip.

Quilter is headed in a good direction, but before too long maybe you can help us answer your question even better by giving a little more detail on what sort of vacation you want. Do you want a hotel, a resort, air tickets for two, want two weeks vacation, skying, etc...

We just booked eight nights at a category 7 Marriott hotel in London for the fall, costing us 185,000 pts. We've also used pts. to stay at a Marriott in Waikiki. Marriott has some gorgeous hotels all over the world, so you are pretty much open as to where you can go with those pts. Have fun!! :)
