Do I use the membership transfer form to do such task?
I am selling my timeshare and the buyer wants my previous spaced bank as well.
What is the fee for the transfer?

Thanks,

Yvette

Yes you can or you can send RCI the info on the Spacebanked week you want to transfer in a letter. The fee is $49., I believe...unless RCI raised it again. It used to be a free membership benefit.

There is an RCI Ownership transfer form that needs to be completed to move the timeshare from their RCI account to yours. On that form, there is a place for the seller to indicate their wishes relative to any spacebanked weeks at that same resort. They can also opt to give you any unused membership years in RCI if they are not going to own any TS and plan to cancel their RCI membership.

I have a PDF of the form. If you e-mail me off list, I'd be happy to forward it to you.

Yvonne

Yvette,

You may complete the MTA or just send a letter with your RCI ID number and the specific deposit(s) you wish to transfer to the new owner. The transfer fee in either case is $79 USD / $95 CAD.

Madge,

I have a unit that has been deposited via the weeks method. The resort does not have the points system available. I am getting ready to enter the RCI points program with a purchase of 64000 annual points.

Question:
1. I am a paid member of the RCI weeks program through 2013. What are my options after purchasing a points membership. Will they extend or refund the money paid previously for the weeks membership?

2. Can I take a spacebanked week and convert it to points after I become a points member?

3. Do you have any knowledge and/or recommendation of the Right to Use lease of points in California through affiliation through Club Trinidad in Palm Springs

walumb01,

See my responses below:
Question:
1. I am a paid member of the RCI weeks program through 2013. What are my options after purchasing a points membership. Will they extend or refund the money paid previously for the weeks membership? You can request a prorated refund of unused subscription fees since your Points Annual Dues will also cover your Weeks account.

2. Can I take a spacebanked week and convert it to points after I become a points member? As long as the resort is not Points-affiliated and the deposited week starts at least 30 days in the future, you can request Points-for-Deposit. However, you will receive full point value only for deposits whose start dates are at least 90 days away.

3. Do you have any knowledge and/or recommendation of the Right to Use lease of points in California through affiliation through Club Trinidad in Palm Springs I am not familiar with this program. Some resorts in both the Weeks and Points systems offer Right to Use versus deeded ownership types. The programs vary, so please work with the resort to be sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction.
