Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to you to see if you can assist me in finding out the info about how to join RCI registry collection membership. We can access RCI under HGVC website.
We own two two bedroom plus at Elara HGVC and at Kingsland HGVC. We bought the the two timeshares through resale. We have total of 33000 points (Elara + Kingsland HGVC).
Also I'm wondering if it is possible for me to book some of Registry Collection resorts by conducting ongoing searches?

Your support will be greatly appreciated.

You have to be elite premier to have the option to use the registry collection with HGVC. I don't believe as a resale owner that is an option.

You might consider trying out ThirdHome. It’s an independent third-party exchange system that has high-end timeshares, fractionals, and vacation homes. Using it costs about the same as Registry, but IMHO the options are better.

Because it’s independent there are no restrictions on joining other than owning something that meets their standards. I’ve seen a few HGVC resorts folks have established accounts with.

I am a resale owner and am elite premier. We have access to the normal RCI properties, RCI select properties, Registry Collection, and Villas of Distinction

Would you mind helping me to find out how I can be an elite premier member?

What do you own now? Feel free to send me a private message if you like.

Resale:33000 points
Unfortunately, neither KL or Elara are elite qualifying when you buy them via resale. There are a handful of properties that are elite qualifying as resale but only when you buy them from the official resale office/person. There is no official list that I am aware of though.

Here are the number of elite qualifying points that you need for each elite level:

Are we allowed to deposit our weeks into ThirdHome?

You could call and ask. My bet is “no.”

HGVC’s now exclusive contract with RCI is not a good deal for owners. My assumption is it shut down Third Home exchanging in the same way it has SFX exchanges.

You can still exchange with SFX by booking your home week and using a guest certificate. Similarly, you can exchange your home week with ThirdHome. It's just that HGVC won't verify a reservation for an independent exchange system.

I wouldn't try it with a non home week reservation, of course. That would be abusing the point system.
