In most webmail applications, when you try to log in but can't, you can select something like "forgot your password?" Then it will send you (via telephone, text, etc. - - whatever you originally set up) a temporary password. In other cases, you will just have to answer your original security questions. Easy-peazy.

Idle thought: wasn't Spam recalled?

Hello
To reset a forgotten password for the first time:
  1. Click I don't know my email password.
  2. Enter your Email Address.
  3. Enter the two words displayed, separated by one space. ...
  4. Click Submit. ...
  5. Locate the Cable Modem ID on your modem. ...
  6. In the text box, enter your cable MAC address, omitting the dashes.
  7. Click Submit.

In my case I never did get mine back because when I hit the forgot password button it asked me to provide the recovery email address and I had closed that account. Then I thought about it and realized if it had been so long since I had tried to get into it that I couldn’t remember my password, I obviously didn’t need that account so I just opened a completely new one!

Sorry, but this entire thread seems so much like a phishing troll, I can't stand it. Two newcomers with suspiciously similar female names post in this thread, quoting the same link, with instructions about providing router addresses? Seems awfully suspect to me.

But maybe it's just me. :)

It's not just you. I agree that these are most likely phishing attempts. If you hover over the similar-looking links (don't click on them!) in the two posts above, you will see that they are going to two different websites. I bet they are trying to get people's login credentials.

I would advise the admins to remove those links if I were them. [Links removed]

I concur with your observation.

How was a new person able to post links in a post? I thought there was a restriction on that and that is why we see the spam with links located in the polls.

The set up is all too obvious. "It's a trap!" (Star Wars).
I wonder if both "Rachel" + "Ashley" have the same IP address.
.

and if you did, please log in immediately and change your passwords!
