Hey group,
My wife and I own two MVC weeks jointly. We have been trading one of those weeks through Interval for various travels and so far have only stayed at MVC properties. The Interval account was initially setup in both my wife's and my names, but she is listed as the Primary member according to the two different Interval reps I spoke with. On the Interval My Profile page it lists me as the "Contact" and my email as the contact, but under "Owners" it does list my wife as "Primary Contact". When we book, the Interval confirmation comes to my email and in my name in the email title, but it shows both me and my wife as Guests Eligible for Check-In. I'm listed first in these emails.
So the question is how do I get Marriott Bonvoy to recognize these stays for their Elite Nights credits? If I try the "find a reservation" using her name it does not find it. If I try using my name it errors out. Is there something I can change to make this work, like should I see if they will change the contact email address and name and take me off? That complicates it a bit since I do all the work on bookings and would have to wait for her to forward emails to me (and she isn't great at checking emails).
We just finished a stay at MGV and I had them register it under my wife's Bonvoy account pre-arrival, and they acknowledged her status when we checked in. But it still doesn't show in her Bonvoy recent trips, nor does our booked Interval trade upcoming in December. Note: I have my own Bonvoy account but it rarely gets used other than for the one free night per year.
