At our last owners update we purchased a 7 night VIP package. Is there any way to access this online or via my existing HGVC account to start exploring availability, or am I forced to call in to schedule?

The VIP package won't show in your current online account.
Even if you create an account for it, apparently you still need to call.
"To book your preferred travel dates, please call 1-888-586-9335..."
I'd check availability before calling.

If I go to

and click on Login, I get several choices, one of which is

"Vacation Package Holder"

I do have a login there (we have had these in the past), but don't recall how I set it up. When logged in there, could see the details of my package. Not sure if I could see availability, though.

Cheers.

Yeah, tried that. It wants you to create an account, which I tried doing with the Lead# on my VIP contract. It said “already associated with another account”.

Good idea to search availability before calling!

The VIP availability is different than what we as owners see. I tried to book Hawaii for this summer 9 months out and there was nothing for VIP bookings even though the owner site was wide open.
Conversely, I was able to book in DC 9 months out with the VIP program.

Interesting, slightly disturbing, and not really surprising.

I tried to book online, but even with the "VIP Package Holder Click Here" bit, I still had to call somebody.

I have to guess that there is a different pool of availability owned by Hilton or Affiliates that is in the VIP available pool than the pool of deeded units.

VIP have to deal with Corporate in Orlando. I KNOW they have access to everything and will do everything to try to get you stay exactly WHEN and WHERE you want ..... to better get you to buy.
I bought through VIP for my first unit.
My buddy against my advice bought VIP just recently and we planned to plan an outing together .... he was offered dates I know were sold out to owners such that we did not travel together.

I told him to stay strong and say 'NO', I told him how much I paid for my 2nd unit from Seth .... he came back and said he signed! No convincing him to resend. He is very happy which is all that matters.

Definitely a different pool of availability. We like to go to Hawaii around the second week of January, but our current TS is EOY. Our VIP package is good for 2 br, 7 nights, at a variety of locations, including Kohala Suites and Kingsland. The point value is 11,520. Looking on the HGV site there appears to be club points availability at both locations, but not so with the VIP package. I went ahead and booked 4 nights at Kohala, starting Jan 6, and the guy told me to just keep calling back to check to see if more days have opened up.

I guess we will see!
