No political posts please! :D

And Ebooks have a virtual fetishistic feel to them. It is easy to take along five or ten reference books and as many as you want to read along with you on your trips. Ebooks to me have many more advantages than the dusty feel.

Well, I can tell you that I like ebooks for myself, not so much for my budding reader son.
My husband likes reading both styles and actually seems to prefer physical books. However, he's also an author and prefers ebook sales because he earns more on each sale.

I became a kindle owner/reader about a year ago.

The one thing I really dislike is not being able to pass it along to a friend to read.

I love the convenience of an ebook for its size and versatility. For me the Fire is great with the backlight, but do appreciate the old Kindle with the no glare for reading poolside. I miss people having books only for the pure fact of seeing what people are reading and asking how they like it (was pretty easy to tell a smutty romance novel from a high-stakes espionage base on the cover art).

That's interesting to learn that an author makes more on the ebook. Our book club just met with a local author and I didn't bring a book for her to sign because I'd bought her ebook just for the convenience of getting it when I was ready to start. So it's nice to hear she made more that way!
