I've used all my weeks so can't search in Interval via trading. I'm reserving our weeks with Marriott and I see I can trade within Marriott for weeks? Is that possible? In the past, i've traded our weeks into II. Am I confused?

Not sure what you are describing. Did you elect your weeks for points in the Marriott Abound club system? You cannot deposit actual weeks into Marriott.

That being said, this year we traded our Gold MRD 105 TDI 1BR, to a 2BR Park City spring break week. Also a studio week 47 125TDI to Ko Olina 2BR in January.

No we kept our weeks. I have to call MVC this weekend. Last year I experimented with points. I'm going back to weeks. I can reserve my weeks then deposit into II. Sorry my brain is tired.

And thanks for the trading info. That's what I'm looking for.

Got it, that makes sense. Except for mid week short stays and certain boutique event weeks, using points is exorbitantly more expensive than trading weeks, especially if you can lockoff. The most significant change people report in II is an evident reduction of trade power for studios. But there are still lots of great trades.

And thanks for the trading info. That's what I'm looking for.
You are welcome.

No kids, and we prefer to travel in shoulder season when it's less crowded and there are fewer kids around. We're still doing fine trading weeks.

Our last trip was Lake Tahoe in October: 1 week in a 2BR at Timber Lodge followed immediate by a week at Hyatt Northstar in a 2BR. Our next is a 3BR at Marriott Grand Chateau at the beginning of March. Those were all trades with our Marriott DSV2 White (Gold) season week deposits, and all were trades into a larger unit than the deposited week.

We always lock off and deposit to Interval, getting 2 weeks of vacation for 1 week of ownership.
