How fast does it take to transfer rented points?

We are new to renting points and wonderinf how fast they show up in your account after you rent them? We are hoping to use Vacation Point Exchange to find points.

I have never had it take more than a day, usually in hours.

It is instantaneous as soon as the owner calls and transfers them. The only delay is how long it takes between when you pay the owner and when they call MVC. I would both agree on the timing of their call before you pay them.

It isn’t an automated process, so it seems to only happen during business hours. The owner puts a request in (by phone or online) and it usually happens within a couple of business hours after that. So a transfer on the weekend might not happen until Monday.

Doesn't MVC now have a form for that? That said, I rented a few points recently and it happened pretty fast. Though I don't think the form was used. My rental was from a GRC owner and I believe they used to have a dedicated contact, though it was mentioned that recently changed.

Perhaps it has changed.

Supposedly you can now only use the on line form to transfer points to another owner although late last year I happened upon an agent who did do it over the phone for me.
