How far in advance can you book using points?

Does anyone know how far in advance you are allowed to put in a request for a reservation using points? I called the Marriott desk yesterday and they told me I can't make a reservation for Aug 2012 until Aug 2011. I just want to make sure that is correct and that there isn't a way to be put on a waiting list until then.

There are different Reservation Windows depending on how many DC Points you have and how many nights you are booking:

- Premier Plus members have 13,000 or more DC Points, can book any number of nights at the 13-month mark;
- Premier members have 6,500 to 12,999 DC Points, can book 7 nights or more at the 13-month mark and less than 7 nights at the 12-month mark;
- Standard members have 6,499 or less DC Points, can book 7 nights or more at the 12-month mark (*or the 13-month mark if a 20% Point premium is paid) and less than 7 nights at the 10-month mark.

The DC Waitlist is the same for all members - Waitlist Requests for 7 nights or more can be made at the 12-month mark, less than 7 nights at the 10-month mark.
