How far / how many times can you "walk" a reservation?

Been walking a reservation in the past week without issue, however, ran into a "no more availability" problem today trying to book for 4/12/26.
If I make a new reservation, the inventory is available, it just wasn't available to that particular reservation I've been walking..
Called CS and they couldn't do it either, had to cancel and rebook, luckily they didn't charge me a fee : )

I'm wondering if there's a limit on how often you can change a reservation? or is this just a random bug with their system that happens once in awhile?

No limit (assuming that there is availability) except you can not walk across new year.

Note: Thanks @escanoe for pointing out that the reservation can not be walked across the new year via the website. The CSR should be able walk the reservation as long as the start date remains in the current year.

You hit a known bug. You can call CSR and have them do it (if there is availability).
