Do you have any examples of what RCI did to the Trade Value of your timeshare?

Here is my example.

I was able to exchange into the Ka'anapali Beach Club 1 Bedroom units several times in January with my 2 bedroom Fox Hills Resort in Wisconsin before the present Trade Value system.

My Fox Hills unit now has a value of 22 trade credits and I now would need a value of 42 trade credits for the 3rd week in January.

I can also get a 2 bedroom at Kahana Falls for an exchange of 40 trade credits for the 3rd week in January.

Since I have several timeshares weeks I had a combine trade value of 54 for my search.

So, I can still exchange into the KBC and Kahana Falls but with more cost. Almost 2 Maintenance fees now and a combination fee for an increase of about $700.

Walt :(

PS: I also find that the Manage Deposits works sometimes and other times just keeps calculating and calculating

A few weeks before the changes, I exchanged a 1BR Branson unit with a partial kitchen for a 2BR Disney's Wilderness Lodge (during Spring Break!). Now, I have to combine two of those 1BR units to get a 2BR DVC.

I agree. RCI was too generous before.

I don't think Walt agrees with that statement. ;)

I notice RCI Points has a better deal on most everything now, depending on one's cost per point. Mine are about .012 each this year, and I noticed October at WorldMark Anaheim is a much better deal in points than weeks for me. Ka'anapali Beach is still low points and a better deal for me than weeks too.

Prime summer Colorado has stayed the same as it was originally, when RCI instituted this new Points Lite system. I was enjoying straight exchanges into DVC with those points, when it was just 25 for a 2 bedroom DVC any season.

If you can keep your TPU's low enough in price, you can still do well in weeks, but at $20 per TPU, a Disney is now $1,000 for a 2 bedroom, and not much less for a 1 bedroom. Compared to DVC point cost, it's still a bargain at $1,000, but I won't be doing it much now. I was sure our daughter would want to stay at Disney for our October trip, but she chose alternate resorts for a huge savings in accommodations for all of us.
