Mom has a Marriott card - the highest level. Was wondering if there is additional value to her in my billing my 2025 MF on her card. Will it register as a Marriott charge where she will get the points bonus on the charge? Or just standard? Does anyone know?

Thanks!
Jenn

It's a Marriott charge (well, it shows up as a "some HOA" charge, but recognized as a Marriott charge).

Anytime I can get someone else to pay my MFs on their CC, I would go for it!

Depending on the card, she would get up to 17 points per dollar:

6X Earn 6X points with Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card*
10X Earn up to 10X points from Marriott Bonvoy® for being a member*
1X Earn up to 1X points from Marriott Bonvoy® with Silver Elite Status*

The benefit to her would mainly be the 6x for using the card, provided she's also a Bonvoy member. I'm sure she is if she has a Marriott card.

The Bold card (a little cheaper fee than the Boundless card) gets 3x points for using the card (14x total).

The 10X and 1X you are quoting there applies only to the cash rate and incidental spending at properties. It is part of the base benefit of Bonvoy. Chase is very misleading in this advertising. Marriott purchases on the credit card only receive the 6X multiplier from the credit card.

You would only get the additional Bonvoy points beyond the 6x credit card points if you made the charges to your room folio while staying on property, as those are coming from the property, not the credit card.
