how do I rent out an unused timeshare week?

please stop posting the details of your rental, as it is a violation of the posting guidelines you agreed to upon joining.

I am sorry that it is "not making you feel welcome" as that is not the intent, but the rules exist for a reason and everyone is expected to follow them.
 
One thing about HGVC is that you're 'sposed to only rent home-week reservations (your resort/season/size/check-in day), not a club-booking (although some get a GC's for new "friends").

It might be hard to find a renter this late for NYC NYE.
I would either reach out to friends, coworkers and family to see if you can recoup some of your annual maintenance fee or bite the bullet with HGVC's cancellation penalty (see below).

Cancellation of a Resort Reservation:
• 31 days or more prior to check-in will result in forfeiture of the entire reservation fee, if any.
• 30 to 15 days prior to the check-in date will result in forfeiture of 25% of the currency (Open Season rental rate, ClubPoints or Bonus Points) used to confirm the reservation and the entire reservation fee, if any.
14 to 6 days prior to the check-in date will result in forfeiture of 50% of the currency (Open Season rental rate, ClubPoints, or Bonus Points) used to confirm the reservation and the entire reservation fee, if any.
• 5 or fewer days prior to the check-in date will result in 100% forfeiture of the currency used (Open Season rental rate, ClubPoints, or Bonus Points) to confirm the reservation and the entire reservation fee, if any.
