Just bought my annual can of Crisco. I won't toss the opened can for a couple months. I always mark the date I actually open the can. I believe the only actual cooking I do with it is a ginger snap recipe. Otherwise it is strictly used to grease pans for baking sweets. I use Pam spray for casserole dishes.

I buy the sticks now - so much easier to measure! The little plastic holders have the expiration date on them. My oatmeal cookie recipe and Italian Cream Cake recipe are not as good if you do not use Crisco.
