This was taken in Calgary....near Banff.
We live in Edmonton, 4 hours north of Calgary and it is colder up here. Minus 50 Celsius.

Stay warm my friends...and say a prayer for us up in the hinterlands.

PS. My nephew is working in Fort McMurray, 5 hours north of Edmonton. I hope he is still able to move his fingers and his toes.

Ft McMud. Haven't heard that location for a while.

It is an incredibly sunny -4 C here. It has really warmed up! ;)

I grew up in the (USA) nation's icebox, Minnesota, which might as well be Canada. Where you drive your boat on the lake in summer and your truck on the lake in winter. It's -18 C with 25 kph wind in my hometown (Minneapolis-St. Paul) right now.

-21 C feels like -31 C in Kansas City right now for the NFL game between the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins.

My son's friend is there right now watching the game.
He is Canadian.
He is just fine.
He is the only one.
Boy, it is cold in so many places. Stay safe.

So cold that the Celcius and Farenhight temps are almost the same!

Meanwhile in Ontario, north of Toronto, near Georgian Bay, our DD says they are getting about 1ft of snow an hour and there is already well over 2ft on the ground. She already messaged her boss to say she may be changing her work from home days this week from Tues & Wed to Mon & Tues. So glad we are roughing it in Belize where it is currently 32C / 89F and sunny!

A cold snap hit the PNW this week. We seem to be getting more of these freeze cycles. Maybe it will kill some of the forest bugs and save some trees is about the only good thing I can think of after a cold snap.

We have to head home at the end of this week and I see that another storm is heading into the PNW. Not looking forward to it.

Diane, we were lucky to fly out on Friday morning to head back to Florida! I won’t miss Ontario weather!

Oh good planning! Our oldest DS was supposed to fly into Toronto today for a few hours on his way back to Florida from the Bahamas (ya, long way out of the way I know!) for something to do with his US work visa but luckily his work HR & Immigration legal folks decided he didnt need to be there in person. He didn't want to chance getting stuck there but it appears Toronto didn't get nearly as much snow as north of Barrie.

Enjoy the heat & sun!

To all Canadian Tuggers , please stay warm, stay safe and keep all the snow and - C temperatures in Canada. I’m praying for an early spring for Canadian Tuggers.

Pretty cold in many parts of The United States also.
Let's hope that the worst parts of winter will be behind us soon.
Stay safe. Stay warm.

It’s super cold by Texas standards. Currently 17 degrees and it will be 13 degrees in the morning. Almost alway this temperature has icy conditions which shuts down the city and of course no school. But it doesn’t look like we’ll have ice in the morning. Our local school district has opted for a 2 hour delay (start). Other child commutes to university (metro train) and the university will have it‘s regular schedule. So I keep checking the computer for updates hoping all schools will be cancelled. I’m worst than the kids.

I just don’t want to get up at regular time tomorrow and half way through making breakfast and lunch see the morning news flash that our schools will be closed. That’s happened several times in the past.:giggle:

My backyard thermometer is reading 11 F in Plano (9:30 AM). It's been in that range since Sunday night.
