Okay I had noT really checked but just noticed after the system upgrade my account went from unlimited to 9 housekeeping points. I have made no purchases to have it change, reservations cost are cheap. Housekeeping credits are not. Hence why I am not purchasing any more points . I looked an my. Account had unlimited before but now is at 9 . I have a screenshot Showing it . I will be contacting them in the AM but wanted others to to be mindful . The status is now hidden not up front like it was before the upgrade. Amazingly my points were correct.

Well per VIP LINE and the Resolution Department I have unlimited . They say there is now a note on my account and they have no idea why it is showing only 9 credits instead of unlimited. Oh well I will keep my screen shots and notes for the future.

Where are you seeing it showing as a number as opposed to unlimited? If you're looking at the Points Summary on the Owner Dashboard - it'll indicate Unlimited for VIP developer points bucket and it'll show an actual numeric value if you are a hybrid VIP owner and also own resale points. Screenshot below for ease of reference:

If you are looking at your Benefits Summary section, it'll never show Unlimited, it will only show an actual numeric value:

This is by design so that you can see how many actual HKC's you're entitled to vs how many you actually use for each use year. So in the screenshot above, for my Developer HKCs if I consumed more than 10 HKCs - and I've used all ten so far this year - it'll decrement to a negative number - which then allows me to see how many "free" HKCs my VIP benefit is providing me for each use year.

Thanks. I was used to seeing the points summary as a default. I was looking at benefit summary. .

Why is my screen this color and yours is different @HitchHiker71

You're platinum and he's gold.
WOW, who knew. My platinum looks platinum. What color will a Founders be? And will Silver come off looking much lighter/brighter than Platinum?

Wish, they'd fix broken stuff versus playing with colors on our dashboards.

I have both resale points and developer (VIPG) points. My resale reservation confirmation emails have a blue color and my developer ones have a gold color. That matches the different colors on my dashboard for the different point sources.

On the dashboard posted by @Sandy VDH, the color for resale is consistent with the blue color on mine and that of @HitchHiker71. I don’t plan to buy enough to see if my developer color changes, but figure it’s an easy association.

Oh, I never caught that. Seems like an odd thing to program to color code the process bars, based on your VIP level.

Didn’t occur to me either - which just goes to show how much of a sales and marketing driven organization Wyndham is as opposed to a technology driven organization I suppose. Marketing people tend to care much more about the form as opposed to function.

form as opposed to function.
There could be function here as well - the color as shown on the confirmation email provides an easy method of seeing whether resale or developer points were used for the reservation. There's a whole bunch of people that worry about this sort of human factors engineering and the color coding may carry forward in other parts of the IT system, too.

Yes - and it would actually be useful if it was communicated to owners and documented for ease of reference. We used to used to have a saying on an office wall in the past, if it’s not documented, it doesn’t exist. Undocumented features are subject to interpretation and are subjective as a result - as is proven out by the fact that several different owners had differing theories as to the intent of the undocumented feature in question. That said - this feature may actually be embedded within a help video somewhere - however video based help without having transcripts that are searchable are of very limited value given the vast majority of owners don’t consume the video content but use the website search unsuccessfully to try to find answers to inquiries like this.

For example, attempting to find guidance using “color coding” or even just “color” just provide any search results explaining this feature, nor does searching for “owner dashboard” or “points summary.”
