Does anyone know if the Horizons by Marriott location in Orlando have elevators? Or does it only have stairs to upper levels? We have a reservation, but I can't do stairs... I'm wondering if I need to call to reserve a ground level wheelchair accessible unit?

Our Building that we stayed in a few weeks ago (Building 28) had elevators. So did 29 (it was attached to Building 28). I would assume all buildings have elevators there. But I don't know for sure.

and yes you can call and request a wheelchair access room. I know because I stayed in one and noticed the bathroom was different. It took me a while to figure out it was because of the openess for wheelchairs.

Thanks Mattman! Do you recall how the bathroom/unit was different? Was there a tub and a roll in shower? Or just a roll in shower? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Do either of you guys know anything about the mini-golf that's listed on the website? My kids love mini-golf.... Is there a pool slide for bigger kids? I saw the pirate ship, but at 11 & 8 I'm sure they'll be too big for it..

We didn't do the mini golf, but it looked real nice. I think it was $5.00 for non owners to play if I remember correctly.

The 2nd slide at the new pool is great for bigger kids. It was taller and winding (it had a platform at the top). Great for older kids.

I only remember the roll in shower. I don't think there was a roll bath? It was a pretty accessible bathroom as I remember. Also the new pool is great for bigger kids but, trust me they will spend a lot of time in and on that pirate ship. (as I know because I have a 12 year old that still loves it, and so do I a 35 year old man) The cannons with water ar fun and it is a great pool. Enjoy, we don't get to go until September.

Mattman, was there a tub as well as a shower? Glad to hear my kids aren't too old for the pirate ship!

TIA!

Building 12 & 13 has a common elevator. Our unit was an end unit in Bldg. 13. It has a combination shower & tub for the second bedroom and a large shower only for the Master Bedroom.
