What size (1 or 2 bedroom), what season or fixed week (if it is a fixed week)

It is a 1 bedroom. I am thinking it is week 10. I never based anything on the week because we only used the points.

My in-laws own at Orange Lake CC (Orlando). As such, I learned one thing: when you sell it, the ownership reverts to the week on the title (no longer HIVC Points), not including RCI points. If the new owner wants points, they'll need to pay to re-convert their week.

On the other hand, whatever week you have, with HIVC, you can reserve your week TWO YEARS in advance! I own Wyndham, and we can only reserve our home resort 13 months in advance. You can trade within the HIVC resorts (I believe there is a fee), so technically, you're not stuck with your week at your home resort.

This is an email I received from a customer specialist with HIVC::

Hello Mr. Still,

When selling your Smokey Mountain unit your personal points will not transfer, however the new buyers will automatically be enrolled into

the Holiday Inn Club Vacations program and be allotted points for that unit the beginning of their first year of usage/occupancy.
I apologize for the misinformation as not all of our resorts automatically transfer points when you sell your unit.

However the Smokey Mountain Resort the points do transfer when some sell’s there unit from that specific resort.

Can you use it in smaller chunks than a full week? Can it be a couple days at a time? If so are weekdays and weekends the same amount of points? How is availability during times when kids are out of school? Can you store up points from one year to the next or will you loose them if you don't use them? If I wasn't going to use the resort one year, could I rent it?
