Hello! We are wanting to purchase just to “buy in” cheap somewhere to get the available last call deals. What would you recommend how to buy in online somewhere cheap. I know there would be fees yearly but I have heard you can purchase these super cheap points off people selling them off. Thanks!

Lake Geneva offers some of the lowest point contracts available, and maintenance fees works out okay as Lake Geneva is UDI, so you pay by the point and not the week.

However, when you say last call, are you talking about RCI last call, or HICV max time ( HICV discounted inventory, usually off season/shoulder season)?

Either way, a 45k - 75k Lake Geneva contract would work. Max time offers are usually for 2-3 nights and that amount will allow you to book it, but it would not be worth it just for max time. You would be better off renting from a current owner.

If it is RCI last call inventory, there are ways to open an RCI without actually owning a week, but you would have to do that research, and again you could book from an “friend”owner too. RCI sell a 5 year guest certificate, and once paid, you can book any last minute inventory from your friend and avoid the $89 guest fee every time.

There was also tripbeat.com that had RCI last minute inventory, but they were working on that site and maybe it is different now.

I’m looking to get the deals where you can book what they have left inventory wise. They called it last minute deals or fast deals or something like that

What was the cost of this inventory? Was it discounted points bookings or cash deals?

HICV does not have a last minute option, but if you went to a presentation, and they showed you their inventory at less than $300 per week, then this would be RCI last call inventory. If this was the case, then you do not need a HICV deed/account to access this inventory, anyone with an RCI account would have access to it.

HICV also has an RCI under 20k bookings, and it is usually 45 days out reservations. It includes all last minute inventory plus some units that do not list on the cash deals.

So if I go directly to RCI I can join them for a yearly fee. It appears that would get me into the last call correct?

Yes, you can join RCI directly if you own a timeshare to exchange. If you do not already own a timeshare to exchange, there are ways to join, but you would have to do research. Send me a DM to see if I can point you in the right way.
