Holiday Beach Resort -Soundside, Pensacola

Can someone help me with understanding how close to the beach is the Holiday Beach Resort. I have seen information that says the Gulf Beach is across the street, and then i've also seen information saying it is 2 or 3 miles away. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have never stayed at this resort, however I have been to Pensacola Beach. The beach area is on Santa Rosa Island. You drive across a bridge over the bay and end up on the island at Pensacola Beach. When you get on the island you go left. The Beach is on the front of the island on the right side of the road and the bay is on the other (left) side. There are a lot of people who like the bay better because there are not any waves. The road is busy but small and it is not far at all to cross the street and go to the beach. Pensacola beach is very pretty and you should have a great time.

Pensacola

We stayed at the Holiday Soundside in March. It is a great resort. It is right on the water, but on the inlet/ sound side- water access, but no beach. To access the beach you have to cross the highway. The discrepancy probably is because you have to walk about 4 blocks to get to the public beach. Otherwise you'd have to enter and go through other hotels to get to their beach. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this resort. Have fun.

Just wondering, can you walk beside the hotels to get to the beach or do you have to walk through the lobby? Also did any of the hotels restrict access through their property. I know that all beaches are public, I was just wondering if it is difficult to get to the beach by crossing private property from Soundside resort. This is a resort I have been looking at trading for in the future.

You can walk between the hotels/resorts. Very short distance. Take a look at some of the pictures I have in the link below. We are headed there again this Sept. Loved the place.
