I complained in the past about Hilton putting its own members thru the same sales presentations as newbies. Well, the sales department has sunk to a new low by calling members to offer a 2008 "update" which is little more than an ill-disguised effort to snag a new sale...

Hilton: "Do you like the Hilton program?"
Me: "I like the flexibility in the way I can use points."

Hilton: "How many weeks of vacation do you have available?"
Me: "However much time I have, Hilton only seems to have
official-HGVC's in Orlando, Vegas + Hawaii," which gets old.

Hilton: "With more points, you could..."
Me: "H-Honors + RCI are too clunky for me."

Hilton: "If you wanted more points, would buy from Hilton?"
Me: "No, If I want more points, I'll buy resale."

Hilton: Silence. Click.

I make it a point to ask for a name first before discussing anything. That way when you don't like something the sales person said or did, you can point your finger to a name when talking or writing to the company about the incident.
