Has anyone seen the play: "I Hate Hamlet"? We are heading to HHI in a couple of weeks and would like to visit the theatre there. Worth going to see this??

We belong to the theatre and see all their productions. I think we are seeing this one on the last day. We have never been disappointed although we like some better than others. I have never regretted going. The theatre is very nice. There really isn't a bad seat.

Sun City

Not sure if this is the same theater group on Hilton Head, but we went to see On Golden Pond at Sun City a couple of years ago. We thoroughly enjoyed it. After the play was over, we met & chatted with the actors for a few minutes.

Where are these held? We will be on HHI in April for the first time, so may be interested in seeing a production if they are still in season. Any insights on how to buy tickets and whether it is best to buy them ahead of time would be appreciated. Thank you.

Mjm1 .... Hi. We are on HHI right now and bought our tickets at the theater box office yesterday. However you can purchase them on line as well. If you buy your tickets on line prior to your visit you will have a better choice of seats. The theater is small and most seats are good. We try to catch a production every time we visit. Their web address is: www.artshhi.com. the theater is located in Shelter Cove and is called Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, 14 Shelter Cove Lane, Hilton Head, SC. 29928 . Hopes this helps.

There's also another theatre on Hilton Head - The South Carolina Repertory Theatre on Beach City Road just past the airport entrance.

See http://www.hiltonheadtheatre.com/

It's a small intimate theatre - not a bad seat in the house.
My wife and I have enjoyed several productions there.

Richard

Did't know about this one. Thank you for the info.

Sun City also has good productions as does the May River Theatre in Bluffton. If you haven't been to the Savannah theatre for their productions, you should try it. In Savannah, there are a group of young performers who change their show every few months. They are great. We are very fortunate in the Low Country to have such a selection. Many of the Sun City folks have theatre in their backgrounds. We have a very nice theatre now.

We are on the island at Grande Ocean starting the 22nd and Harbor Pointe on March 2. If anyone is on the island and would like to get together, let me know. This next weekend looks yucky weather wise, but just being near the ocean will be good.

Thanks for the link. It looks like they are in recess in late April when we will be there. We will also check out the other theaters to see if anything will be playing. Cheers
