I've watched the RBC Heritage Golf Tournament on TV here from Colorado for many years. Always enjoy the lush landscape and normally warm weather on the broadcast vs typically cold and snowy Colorado right out my window.

Next year we will attend in person for the first time and have bought weeks at both the Heritage Club and Harbour Club to enjoy each year going forward with family and friends.

Also, though, the TV coverage of course shows people enjoying watching the tournament from the decks of their properties that back up directly onto the golf course. This seems idyllic as well to just lounge around your property with front row views of the tournament passing by. So, I thought adding some timeshare properties along the course would add a different dimension to attending the event which could be fun to mix it up a bit over the coming years.

I've tried researching this using the maps on Redweek but not being very familiar with the area wanted to ask those who are more in the know how I could best determine if there are any timeshare properties that do back up to the golf course or are those more likely all private homes?

Maybe if private homes there are some kind of fractional vacation ownerships available we could consider?

Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise on this topic!

I don't have much to add but I have been to Hilton Head a few times. The golf course is in the Sea Pines Plantation master-planned community. It is usually called Sea Pines or Sea Pines Resort.
That could help you narrow your search for what you are looking for as Hilton Head has so many resorts.

Thanks much!
No timeshares in Sea Pines on that have a view of Harbour Town Golf Links. All private homes and condos. Heritage Club and Harbour Club are in Harbour Town and very close to the course. You can walk into the course from either. This is a very crowded location during tournament week. Monarch is also close to the course with the added benefit of being on the beach and away from the crowd. You cannot ride a bike into Sea Pines during the tournament week unless you are a contestant, caddie, volunteer or resident (or have a Grande Ocean Sea Pines bike pass).

@BreakingAway Thanks so much for the info and details! Looks like our current strategy is the best at the moment. Would you have any other tips or tricks for the tournament?

@BreakingAway - I think I may have found a Sea Pines timeshare with views of the golf course...Swallow Tail - checking further with the owner/seller. Attached is a view from the deck from the Redweek listing.

Swallowtail backs up to the Heron Point golf course not Harbour Town Golf Links. A great location and nice setting but not directly on the course utilized for the Heritage (if that is your primary goal).

@cory30 Thanks...the Heritage course is definitely the goal! Appreciate you pointing this out.

Buy a ticket ahead of time. This year it was sold out, but it was one of the required tournaments for this year so everyone played. I attended the finals on Sunday on a general admission grounds pass. As a links course there is not much room for spectators because the next tee is close to the green on most holes. I could not get very close to the greens after the final group finished a hole and everyone moved on to the next hole. The course is very flat so no elevation to be able to see over the people in front of you. I left and watched the playoff on TV. After 8pm, pedestrians and bikers are allowed on the cart paths. In April, that does not allow enough daylight to ride the course. I have ridden it many times in the summer when days are longer. It is enjoyable to watch the tournament and recognize most of the holes they are playing.
