Hilton Head Island Bike Rental - Need suggestions

Staying one week early August, Have 3 over 65, 2 over 40, and 2 between 9-11. Thinking of getting bikes for 3 days during the week. Been going crazy trying to figure out rental companies. Any recommendations? Staying at Players's Club, will have two cars amongst us, but I remember parking being a bear.

Our Coral Reef timeshare included free bike rental from Wheelz. The bikes were delivered to our unit. Mine had a handlebar that didn't stay in position and the company was quick to come fix it.
Whether it was me or the bike, after a mile ride, my tailbone was bruised! It took several weeks for the pain to vanish.
So...whichever company you rent from, I suggest going to their office to try different types of bikes and then make a selection. The company will deliver to Players Club. Locks should be included free. Helmets can be rented, but if you are driving and have helmets bring your own. IDK about seat cushions but I sure could have used one!

Too hot to ride bikes in August for me, but there are a couple of rental companies up at Coligny Circle.

We were just there in April and had a great time renting from Breeze Bikes. The on-site bike rental company was going to be about $120 more for the week than what we paid with Breeze.

We called them when we arrived (you can book ahead - we just weren't sure at the time if we were going to want bikes or not since it was our first time visiting) and they delivered the bikes/helmet/lock within 2 hours.

Also - one of the bikes we got was an "adult tricycle" - had a really large basket on the back which made it easy to carry stuff and also to bike around with!

I have used Island Like Bike Rental for 5+ years now. We rent twice a year from them. But there are many different companies to choose from. I suspect that this company is similar to several others.

We rented from Bike Doctor (New Orleans Rd) because they carry 'real' bikes. DW and I like to tour (there are miles of bike trails and we have done most) and the beach cruisers that most rentals carry aren't conducive to long rides. Bike Doctor was able to provide normal geared road bikes. Note that riding on the beach is strictly prohibited with these bikes.
