Anyone know the latest? I’m an owner in Hiawatha West and I want to get rid of it. Since they went in solvent, I thought I was off the hook.
However, I just got a letter saying that they are reopening. I really have lost faith and interest in the Timeshare at this point.
I already have contacted lemon juice who is supposed to be handling the insolvency and I told them I want to deed back the property. They are supposed to be sending me the documents, but I’m just reaching out to see if anybody knows anything more because I’m a little suspicious about the whole thing.
I thought that I might even be able to get a small check from the company and return for relinquishing the deed, but I was told that I actually have to pay at least $250 to get rid of it and then a bunch of maintenance fees besides.
It doesn’t seem right, but I don’t trust just walking away from the whole thing because I think there might be some legal repercussions if I were to do that.
If anybody has any thoughts, suggestions or new information concerning this situation, please pass it on. I will appreciate it.
