Hi TUGBBS folks! I can't get HGVC on the phone to get an answer on this.

I see that there is an HGVC in Whistler, British Columbia.

When I log in to the portal, I don't see this listed as an option.

Is there any way I can use my HGVC membership to book a stay here?

In theory if you have “Max” you would have access to the Canadian properties, but when I check the resorts are there but show O availability for the next 7 months.

If you don't have HGV Max, then you do not have access to see the Canada locations. You are not missing much as there is rarely any available any way.

Whistler has been rebranded as HGVC but it is in a separate TS system, Embarc. If you are Legacy HGVC, you will not be able to book Whistler via HGVC. There is very limited availability via HGV Max (from what I have been told). HGVC Whistler does trade in both DEX and II. I have traded twice into HGVC Whistler via DEX.

Don’t you just “love” the confusion? I think that this is all part of HGV plan.

Meanwhile, there is at least some studio availability at the Whistler location via II for mid Oct to mid Nov.

Thank you. What is DEX?
DEX is Destination Xchange a timeshare exchange system similar to RCI and II. It's used by HVC resorts, Embarc, and a couple of HGVC resorts (to my knowledge only Craig Lodges and the Bay Club in HI).
