HGVC Maintenance fee doesnt work on Aspire resort credit anymore?

I attended a timeshare presentation last year and they swore the resort credit applies to maintenance fee? Is there something Im doing wrong? or was i flat out was lied to. Just for context I did buy resale but I thought the extra perk of being able to get the resort credit is awesome.

Amex Hilton (Aspire and Surpass Only) CC Changes

Oh I hadn't realized that what used to work no longer does. Maybe then a "dp" section like on Doctorofcredit.com when people are simulating Direct Deposits via ACH with various banks. I guess this forum is, where we share our DPs on what is working (or not)....
