Never stayed at any of the HGVC properties in Florida. Can anyone recommend their favorite they have stayed at that is closest to Disneyworld? Thank you!

I will give you my quick take...
Parc Soleil is closest and upscale, but in the middle of nowhere.
Tuscany Village (I-Drive) is sophisticated, but next to an Outlet Mall.
SeaWorld has the best "resort" vibe and very good for kids.
Las Palmeras is a converted hotel, best for Conventions & Universal.
-- My favorite: Tuscany Village.

This should be posted in the HGVC forum for a better response.

Just a quick note on Parc Soleil, the 3 bedrooms only have king beds, no 2 doubles in one of the rooms. For us, it really limits how many we can take with us.

We just spent a month in Orlando between a DVC resort (Saratoga Springs), Las Palmeras, and Tuscany Village.

We were not impressed with Tuscany Village. The grounds are nice, as is the pool (no water slide though), but the rooms need to be renovated. They felt more like a Westgate resort compared to what we are used to with HGVC (we have stayed at Paradise, Boulevard, and Flamingo in Vegas as well). Maybe our standards are too high  Also, the parking lot near buildings 6 and 7 are always full, meaning you have to park pretty far away and walk. Walking distance from building 7 to the Vineland Outlet Mall is a big plus though, they have a gate directly from the resort to the shopping center. They also a have washer/dryer in-unit.

Las Palmeras was amazing IF you get the 2-bedroom standalone plus. We initially were in a 2-bedroom lock off which was really just a small 1-bedroom and a studio. The 1-bedroom unit doesn't have a full kitchen and was about the size of a Hilton Homewood Suites 1 bedroom if you've ever stayed in one of those. The room just isn't large enough to separate the living and bedroom with a wall, it just makes both rooms too small. No washer/dryer in these units, but the 2BR standalone units have a full-size LG washer/dryer right outside the room (although this is shared with the floor, they were usually available, and you can do all your laundry at once instead of multiple loads with the smaller in-room units). Their pool and lobby is great and it looks like the hotel is very new or recently renovated.

I wouldn't say Parc Soleil is in the middle of nowhere, it's just not as close to Universal as Las Palmeras. Both are a bit of a drive from Disney World. We haven't stayed at Parc Soleil yet but spent plenty of time at Portillos which is right across the street (highly recommended, hah!)

I think we would like Tuscany Village a lot more once they do a renovation, but it looks like it's been at least 10 years since they were updated.

I've stayed at all four of the Orlando properties. You can drive from any one of them to any other of them within 10 minutes. I think Tuscany and Seaworld are closer to Disney than Parc Soliel - use Google maps, you will see the distance to Epcot (for example) is between 8 and 9.2 miles for the three of them. Las Palmeras is slightly further from Disney than the others but closer to Universal & the Convention Center. The area around Parc Soliel has been greatly developed in the past few years - there are now a lot of family homes, a stand-alone emergency room, a high school, a target, and several restaurants around it.

I believe the other poster must have stayed in Building 7 at Tuscany where the rooms are worse than any of the other six buildings. The other buildings at Tuscany have all been refreshed in the past few years. Seaworld started a refresh last year and are updating 3 or so buildings per year. I know they planned on updating building 8 earlier this year.

My preference is for Tuscany Village except during silver season at Seaworld - then Seaworld is my preference because of smaller number of points. Seaworld probably has a better family feel to it than Tuscany. All of the 1,2 & 3 bedrooms at Tuscany, Seaworld and Parc Soliel have full kitchens and washer/dryer in unit. The studios have a few shared washer/dryers in each building.

The Las Palmeras 1 bedrooms are small and only have a cooktop, microwave, mini fridge, mini dishwasher - and shared washer/dryer on each floor. If you have stayed at HGVC on Oahu, Las Palmeras is like the Hokulani and the other three are like the Grand Waikikian or Grand Islander. Although, the unit size at the Hokulani is a little bigger than the Las Palmeras 1 bedroom. I would stay at the Las Palmeras only if I am going to an event at the convention center or if there is a promotion.

Yes, we stayed in building 7 at Tuscany Village. That's good to know that the other buildings are renovated, although I wish I had known that at the time because I probably would have tried to switch rooms. Are they planning on also updating building 7 soon?

One drawback of SeaWorld is a lot of buildings are LONG way away from the main pools. And being older we have stayed in some rooms that were not as nice. We much preferred the 2 buildings by the main pool which have a COMPLETELY different architecture but never stayed in a studio in those buildings as there is no lanai.

For Disney, we actually prefer SeaWorld. We’ve found SeaWorld to be the quickest for getting on and off the Interstate heading to the Mouse house.

Our second choice is Parc Soleil.

The only problem is traffic on I4 and upcoming construction through that stretch is sure to make things worse. I don't see the issue reported here about Parc Soleil being in the middle of nowhere. There has been a lot of development around it lately with a new Aldi and Publix grocery just a short drive away. They could even be considered walkable. There are a number of fast food and fast casual places right across the street now too. To get to Disney you just take Palm Parkway to the end and turn left then you can turn right into the Disney Springs area. Once onsite you can get just about anywhere pretty easily as traffic on site is usually pretty easy.

Is this a sleep 6 or 8 villa ?

Only if people are particular about whom they share a bed and how many people in a King Bed.

We prefer Parc Soleil if we are going to Disney, as we don't have to get on or cross the interstate, which can be a mess during busy times. It is a pretty straight shot down Palm Parkway to the Disney parks from Parc Soleil.

We like Parc Soleil and it's always our second choice (and sometimes first if we're wanting a change). And I completely agree that it's easy to get to WDW from Parc Soleil.

Our issues with Parc are little: the parking garage (look out for door dings) and the wait times on elevators. And to be fair, neither of those is a very big deal, but something has to be #1 and those two things are enough for us to give the edge to SeaWorld. I also think the landscaping at SeaWorld is the best out of all the Orlando resorts, but that's just my opinion.

Does anyone know if there have been recent updates at sea world or parc soleil and if so which towers?
