I called the HHonors desk recently to modify a reservation and for easy 500 points I accepted / "endured" the spiel about $199 for 4 nights in Las Vegas + $300 towards a show + $200 future Hilton spend cert. It wasn't bad.

First off, I'm not going to buy a developer week, I'd buy resale, but that aside this is a great deal and for a 90 minute presentation I can say no. I know how the system works...

My question: What are the typical terms of this (other than a presentation)? Timeframe that can be used before expiration? They seemed to say a year but sounded flexible on longer ie: "let me talk to my manager." Can it be used at ANY Vegas TS property? Can they book us at a NON-TS property, meaning I would not get to stay on site?

"Let me talk to my manager," does not mean "We're flexible." Unless something's changed from last posts about it, the $200 is a hotel voucher in which the fine print says: "This can only be used for named-chain, not anything else in the Hilton family, and if you don't adhere exactly to its terms, too bad, so sad." They'll likely put you in a hotel room or a studio at the resort.

I did it and went to Parc Soleil in Orlando. The only negative was that I was in a studio, which is basically a hotel room with a small fridge and microwave. It was still worth it, but I would have preferred a full kitchen.

Did one at the Elara earlier this year. I actually had extended the TS visit three months past the original end date. We were issued a studio which was fine with me.

I redeemed the $200 voucher at a DoubleTree. Total bill was $201 which included taxes and got a check for $161.10 which was $210 less taxes. Check came five months after the DT stay.

Cheers
