I participated in today‘s HOA Board meeting via Zoom today. Unfortunately, they only received proxies from 9% of the owners, so they fell short of the 15% required to conduct business. So, they held an information session. I don’t know if this is a common occurrence at Flamingo, but I do know that many HOA’s experience a lack of response from owners.

I understand that Flamingo is popular for those of us who like the HGVC system, but want to own a resort with lower MF’s. So, many owners never stay at the resort and simply use the points for internal exchanges.

I am curious if Flamingo owners here on TUG typically submit their proxies? If not, would you mind sharing your reasons for not doing so?

I didn’t even know the time for the meeting was now. Last year I attended the zoom and thought that was the last week of March, but could be wrong on that account. I would have sent in my proxy if I had known.

I don't own Flamingo , but I do always vote for my proxies for the resorts I own; I have never actually attended any of the meetings in person or via Zoom.
