HGV week deposit in II

Are HGV members required to wait for owner services to deposit week into interval or can we do it ourselves if we have the reservation # and dates? Trying to avoid deposit falling into II’s flexechange window. Owner services are saying if I do it directly through II it won’t go through.

In general, HGVC doesn’t trade in II. HGV uses RCI. Only HGVC specific resorts can trade in II, such as Embarc, Craig Lodges, GPR. I am sure there are others that I have missed.

For the properties that you can exchange, you have to initiate it. II folks will reach out to HGV.
