I did a recent update and they were pushing enough points to get to Preferred + elite. In the swirl of numbers and story sharing I was told that HGV Max elite members visiting Kings Land (all tiers except standard) get to swim with dolphins for free. Sounded like typical salesperson stretching of the truth but wanted to check with others more knowledgeable on the Max benefits.

Thanks!

To clarify: Did he say swim with dolphins or sleep with fishes? The distinction may be important... :D

Cheers.

Well, her demeanor changed quickly once she realized I was not going to buy. She may have wanted me to swim with fishes at that point. She was the most persistent salesperson I have ever encountered.

Presented another deed to bring me to preferred +. However, aside from the cost, the maintenance fee per point for the new deed was almost 2X my current deed. The dolphin claim came towards the end of the presentation and may have been a Hail Mary.

In order to swim with the dolphins for free they'll probably have to swim from the resort to the dolphins.

Are you sure that it wasn't Sharks (aka TS salesperson)?

There is a paid dolphin quest encounter package at Hilton Waikoloa Village. Perhaps she would have been willing to gift it to you if you upgraded.

I once had a sales staff at parc soliel offer to gift me Discovery Cove if I upgraded.

More than likely she was talking about a HGV Ultimate Experience event. There probably would be a copay. My most recent stay in Orlando came with a offer for wine and dine at Charley's Steakhouse or Ruth Chris or Universal two park hopper for two day or SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS AT DISCOVERY COVE. That last one came with a copay. Perhaps they are doing something similar in Waikoloa. My last visit to Waikoloa I received a $200 activity credit and my friends with me got $150.

After reflecting, I am almost certain the dolphin swim at Waikoloa is a HGVC Ultimate Event experience. I've been told that I am eligible to do one per month with a stay. They require you to attend an owners update. I've been to several, EnVouge Concert, luau and Brett Young concert at HHv, Charley's steakhouse dinner, LPGA pro am event. I'm glad I did all of them. Very much looking forward to the LPGA event again in January 2024.

Heck, I'm a lowly resale owner and even I was offered a choice of HGV Ultimate Access experiences prior to our recent stay at Elara. Of course they came with the caveat of attending a sales presentation -- not worth it to me.

Kurt
