I've been receiving cold calls from agents representing entities requesting to buy my Hawaiian points at unbelievable prices. Anyone else experiencing these unsolicited calls? Are they legitimate or scams? Hilton says they're scam. I'm a sceptic.

All of them are scams. Don't engage with these criminals. They will find a way to fleece you and if you engage they will sell your info to other boiler rooms who will take a shot at you. If it sounds too good to be true ... it probably isn't true.

Just think about it....

Why do they need to cold call you and over pay when there are lots already advertised for resale on various websites.
For example

Just google Timeshare Scams and stop answering those calls.

Has anyone ever had a cold call that wasn't a scam? Not likely. Don't give than any personal information or you'll regret it.

Scam. People have difficulty in getting HGV to take back their deed for free so there would be no legit reason for them to be cold calling people offering ridiculously high prices in an unsolicited offer.

By saying you are skeptical makes you a perfect mark, just hang up.

Why do you answer your phone unless you recognize the number. You should send all calls not in your contact list straight to voice mail.

Exactly! I don't answer my phone because Caller ID can be spoofed.

Just this month my phone rang twice with HGV MAX displayed on the Caller ID (see screen capture above), then my husband's phone immediately rang when he didn't pick up then my phone rang again. No voicemail was left but I found some scam alerts in google and we both blocked the number.

Contact information is being sold and scammers are targeting timeshare owners.
Sadly, a lot of these folks are still most likely to believe whatever they're told making them frequent targets for all sorts of scams.
