Greetings,

I am new to this site and have just sent in a form to give my deed back to HGV via their website. I own it outright. I am not going to pay any more on my MF and thought I would try the deed back program route before just walking away and not paying anymore. Has anyone had success with the deed back program? I tried to call them, but their snake oil salesman once again attempted to get me to buy more points, which I firmly and politely declined. Thanks.

What do you own at Boulevard? You may be able to give it away for free here on TUG to another person. See the "Free Timeshares" Forum.

I agree! Depending on what you own, it may be able to be sold for a chunk of change. Platinum 2 bedrooms at The Boulevard can sell for $3k or more (up to $6k). The gold deeds can be given away fairly easily as well.

Thanks. I will check that out too.

Thanks for the suggestion. My points are on the lower end (e.g. 1 bedroom every other year).

I did the same. After calling many phone numbers that I found on both HGV site and facebook, other sites, they told me that the form I submitted was only an inquiry. Apparently they have shut down the deed-back. I couldn't get any straight answers, but I got the impression that they "MIGHT" open it up at some future obscure date and contact the people who have submitted the form then. I also got the impression from much research that they only accept certain types of ownership. I also got the impression that they only open it up for the certain types that they want back in inventory to resell. These "impression" conclusions are just that. I couldn't get any definitive answers. The only definitive answer I got was that the form we filled out on their website was an "inquiry" only. I have paid 2025 maintenance fee. If I don't hear back by end of year, I will consider not paying maintenance fees in the future and let it go to foreclosure. I own the timeshare and don't have a mortgage on it. Don't know it they will contact credit agency. However, we are OLD and don't need credit anymore. Good luck. We will both need it.
