They show some of the new shops and even give an update on old Koloa town.

When we were there in February, Mango's was the only shop open. Looks like there's several now, with more signs that say coming soon.

Looks liked the shopping center is trying to retain the old Town historic atmosphere.

Last time we stayed in Poipu we didn't rent a car because of the crazy price, and it was totally fine without a car. Koloa town with Big Save etc is just one bus stop away from Poipu, only $0.50, nice new air conditioned buses, just check the schedule. I remember seeing that new shopping village in Koloa under construction. I assumed it was condos, so I just learned it's a shopping village from this post.

I am really thinking about not having a car on Maui, or maybe having a car for the first two weeks and then taking it back to Ka'anpali somewhere and walk back to our resort. Renting cars to have them sit in the parking lot much of the time seems wasteful.

What really impressed us most about the new shopping center was the giant elephant ear plant on the corner. o_O
