We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to share which alcoholic drinks are popular in their state. Here are some of the best results:

Alabama: Yellow Hammer.

"It's a mixed drink that includes rum, vodka, amaretto, grenadine, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Big hit on Alabama football game days." —courtneyg43e6fd966

I am from Virginia what is an Orange Crush? We liked a good bourbon or a good scotch on the rocks. That is IMHP.:crash:

What about D.C.?

Ok, maybe I don't hang out in sports bars a lot, but I've never seen or heard of someone drinking my state's supposed winner—a beertini (beer with olives). For course the source for this is far from scientific...basically responses from people who happened to see the question about it on Buzzfeed, so they may have gotten one answer!

I've lived in Minnesota over 35 years, and that's the first time I've ever heard of a beertini. Peppermint Schnapps will keep you warm on a winter's day, but Summit Extra Pale Ale is a local beer you'll find in just about every bar.

Orange Crush sound liked a summer drink for beach tourists.
