I have a unit on hold here for 8/22 to 8/29. I have read the reviews and it looks like a pretty nice place. We do enjoy being on or near the water. It doesn't look like this place is on Lake Michigan, but how far would it be? My daughter will be joining us from Kalamazoo, and I don't think I will get anything in Traverse City like I wanted. Should I grab this one? TIA for any information you can give me regarding this resort. I only have a 24 hr hold from RCI.

You can also hit Lake Michigan if you travel East from the resort.
If you travel East you will hit Lake Huron. If you travel West you will hit Lake Michigan. Everyone I have talked to who has been there has enjoyed it. But if being on the water is paramount, it is not for you.

Well, I confirmed it this morning. I talked with my dd and she said as long as it was a vacation from grad school, she didn't care :D Thanks for your input. We live in the U.P., so it won't be a long drive anyway!! I drive through that area a lot, but have never stayed. I'm sure it will be a great vacation.

There is a lake on the boyne property whuich has a nice sandy beach, and free water toys to use. 2 miles from the Mountain Run. Drive, or it' s a good bike ride.

Be sure to consider taking a bike, as it is a great place to have a bike in the summer
