My wife and i are in Vegas on vacation and bought the sapphire jockey club timeshare. We travel about 3-4 weeks a year and this looked like a great deal for 8995. It included 33K points triannual and free access to RCI.
Their big selling point was the 349,449,549 for a week through RCI unlimited.
My concern is that when we want to go somewhere it’s not going to be available. But they assured us with 6k resorts they will have something.
I just found this forum so would love some advice as i have 4 days to cancel. Please advise if you’d had experience with this specific timeshare.

Since you aren't sure exactly what you bought or if it's a good deal or not, rescind NOW while you still can. You have only this short time period to rescind so take advantage of it.
Do some more research (this is the best place on the internet to learn all you can about timeshares) and take your time. Become an educated buyer. After your research, if you think it's still a good deal for you, they'll be happy to sell you whatever they can!

Follow the rescission instructions exactly as stated on your purchase contract. Write a simple letter saying that you're exercising your legal right to rescind and you expect to receive all your money back. Have everyone who signed the purchase contract also sign the rescission letter. Mail the letter via USPS certified mail so that you have a receipt from the post office showing that you rescinded in time. That is the most important part of rescinding--doing it in time. Then relax, take your time, and learn more about what you want to buy and use.

Rescind now. Nevada has one of the shorted rescission periods of any state. This is your only chance to get out of your purchase with no negative effects.

Also starting to read this forum it seems 8995 is high for this even direct from sapphire?

Yes, you should. You can always go back later and buy again what you just bought. But you can't go back later and ask them to take it back.

Explore more and buy resale when ready.RCI has an annual membership fee and exchange fees. It's not free.

No, you should rescind and not speak to any sales person again! Ask your questions here on TUG.

The Last Call, last minute offerings on RCI are the leftovers after others have exchanged their timeshare weeks for other timeshare weeks. The prime exchanges will be snapped up by ongoing searches with other prime locations and what is left is offered for rentals. There are websites where one can rent RCI inventory without being a member of RCI anyway.

Plus, when you deposit a week with RCI, there will be an exchange fee if you want to exchange it for another week and the fees are several hundred dollars. There's also a membership fee for RCI.

The fact that you’re asking if you should rescind and ask more questions, the answer is YES. Make sure you follow the instructions on rescinding. Don’t deal with the sales rep.

you can get that amount of RCI points for free. I see plenty of tri annual RCI point units for free. RCI isn’t free. You’ll need a paid membership

That said, we were told these 249-549 were not last call. They are fixed rates for sapphire timeshare holders. They showed some examples but fear they aren’t realistic.

i want it to be viable as i am fine putting in the work to make it work, but fear is overpriced. Ugh.

Most definitely!! You only get a very short time to rescind and get a full refund, if you miss that you are stuck with a nearly worthless timeshare. You can get resales in Las Vegas any day on the resale market for pennies on the dollar to what you paid.

33k points is not really a powerful amount in terms of RCI booking power. We use that or more for a week at some resorts from our 200K points per year. You get that 33k only every 3 years.

Oh lord. More like 18K if you’re financing it. RESCIND IMMEDIATELY. That is your only choice. Rescind now and then figure out what to buy. Or waste 18K unless you’re paying cash

You need to get a grip of reality and rescind first thing Monday morning. What you paid thousands for can be purchased on the resale market for a dollar or two. Money doesn't grow on trees and I assume you worked hard for your money. Keep your hands in your pockets and protect your assets.....RESCIND.

Send your rescission paperwork via USPS CERTIFIED MAIL. Any buyer who signed the purchase agreement must also sign the rescission paperwork.

REMEMBER: You only get one bite at the rescission apple (opportunity). Exercise it and save thousands of dollars!
