HELP! [ BlueGreen Vacations ]

We bought a timeshare outright through BlueGreen Vacations, no loan, on September 13, 2024. It is 6 days later and we do NOT want to keep it. Our contract says 5 days is our cancelation window. It does not state whether that includes weekends and holidays or just calendar days. Are we still able to cancel in time? If not, what are our options?

Missouri. We did it at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, MO. We are definitely sending the letter today overnight and certified.

Missouri does not appear to exempt weekend days, etc. You should still send the letter and see what happens, and you should do so PRECISELY as specified in the contract. For example, if the contract says USPS, do not send it by FedEx/UPS.

Technically, you are outside your rescission window, and Bluegreen might reject your rescission request. If they do, the money is spent and you won't get it back, so my advice would be try to figure out how to use it.

Fyi, we sent the letter dated a day prior to the deadline date (deadline was 5 days for Missouri), but post dated on the 6th day, to a couple of different locations in Florida with some additional paperwork. This was a little more than a week ago. Checked the bank account this morning and every last bit of our money was refunded. Thanks so much for your advice and please let everyone know to at least try!
