If you rent from Starwood, you can check-in on any day. Otherwise, check-in days are Fri/Sat/Sun.

I believe if you are staying for longer than a week and using staroptions you can check in any day, but then you have to check out on a Fri, Sat or Sun.

Starwood has 3 reservation periods:
From 12 - 8 mos. out, owners can only make reservations in increments of 7 nights that start on Fri. - Sat. - Sun. - at their home resort.
From 8 - 3 mos. out, owners can make Staroption reservations, that start or end on Fri. - Sat. - Sun, and they may be for 7 nights or more - at any available resort.
At 90 days out, owners can make Staroption reservations that start and end any day of the week, and they can make reservations for less than a week - at any available resort.

For some reason, I assumed the OPer is an II exchanger. Maybe it's because he/she asked if availability would be better on a weekday.
