Hi HGV members.
Im a 23 year Bluegreen member who's looking to book Hawaii...the Big island.
I have 2 questions. What is your preferred resort ON HAwaii..and if I booked the Bay club would I be able to use the amenities at Waikaloa Village?

How are you planning to book? Are you planning to try to use your BG ownership somehow to book?

Hi HGV members.
btw, I really don't want to sound picky but you have posted in the HGVC forum. HGV is the overall parent company of HGVC, HC, HVC (former DRI) and now BG. HGV has made this so confusing to everyone.

Bay Club owners elected not to participate in sharing amenities at the hotel, you can purchase passes though. My preferred resort is King's Land, hotel access included.

You can walk the grounds, eat at the restaurants, use the spa (paying for services of course). What you cannot do is use the pools. Or really what you can't do is get a hotel towel for the pools and use the water slides. I don't know if they still give out wristbands to show who is allowed the towels and access to the slides or not. And I don't know if anyone monitors the pool area to see if everyone has a wristband.

We preferred the Bay Club for the unit size. We're not huge pool people, we prefer the beach, so the one at the Bay Club was fine for us.

I don't see a beach at the Bay Club. It appears landlocked

There is no beach at the Bay Club. We drive up to Hapuna Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, if not on all of the islands.

Love Hapuna Beach. About 11 months ago we were sitting on the sand at Hapuna when we felt the Earth Rock beneath our Butts. Earthquake down near South Point. We were at the Bay Club for 3 weeks. Bldg 1, 2nd Floor, Golf Course view. Had a great time. We had traded through RCI with our Worldmark Credits 13 months in advance. Much better deal than MAX.

We traded into Kingsland a few weeks ago and we really loved it. We have three kids so the pools were a big hit and the use of the Hilton amenities was awesome. I would highly recommend and am definitely planning on going back sometime.

OMG - the website, if you can manage are much easier to use than calling in for assistance. Last week, I had a new fee - it was mailed to me and had a return envelope which I threw away. I tried to go online and pay the fee, but the fee was not in my HOA/Loans pages. So... I called. Then comes the ultimate game of 'It's not my department' and the blind transfers begin. EOS - I was told, I had already paid the fee - I got another "mailed invoice" yesterday - AW Fudge!

"Deeded" is like a swear-word to me now. You need to speak to someone in the deeded department - Click!

I told @Gailm to post in the HGVC as she had questions about the three HGVC on the Big Island.
Nothing to do with Hiltons purchase of BG.
She is looking for people’s thoughts on which resort they prefer and specifically if one can use the Hilton Hotel while staying at the TS.
For some reason it looks as if this was moved to the exchanging forum, not exactly helpful for obtaining HGVC information.
Agree to confusing! I'm just looking for advice.
Gail, you are asking a question about a HGVC resort, not about the takeover of BG by Hilton.
You posted in the right place. And all the new terminology IS confusing for most of us.
Hope you can get some good advice.

All BGVC members have a corporate paid RCI weeks account. Members that have an additional program called Travelers Plus also have access to RCI Points Exchanges.

Not a problem. I was just a little confused, so I wanted to ensure that I understood the question. Some moderator must have moved the thread. I can move it back, if you think that will help. But, since I now understand the question, I can point to some previous posts.

There is also a lot of information in our resort Sticky for each BI resort:

Thank you!
I had started looking myself yesterday but it is so helpful to have the links. I knew there was a lot of information about these resorts on the HGVC Forum so directed Gail there.

My advice is to join TUG for $15 and follow the Sightings message board, recently there have been several HGVC Hawaii deposits reported in RCI. It's one of the best benefits of membership.
